Will a rule change lead to faster games?

The first rule changes have been made in MLB since 1996{.}.  Pitchers will be required to pitch the ball within 12 seconds of the batter being in the box and them having the ball.  I’d love to see the same sort of rule applied to batters who step out of the box. They should be required to keep one foot in the box and only leave to replace a broken bat between pitches or if the team calls time.

I love the Netflix service, but this was an interesting read about a job that I assumed was being done by machine.  If you’ve ever had an issue with your job I’d suggest reading this…
